It’s January again so lots of us are reflecting on changes we want (or need) to make in the coming year like eating healthy. With Foodzy, keeping track of this just got one helluva lot easier: Today we’re excited to announce a fun new feature called Eatzies
: a simple way to check in entire dishes instead of single products.
Eatzies: Check in entire dishes
A lot of you pointed out to us that checking in sometimes wasn’t quite as easy as Foursquare, yet. That spaghetti Bolognese you had for dinner? Often it was too much hassle finding out what went into making it. That’s why Foodzy created Eatzies: it combines separate products into a recipe or a frequently eaten dish. So if your home-made spaghetti sauce is made from tomato sauce, mince meat, mushrooms and basil, just add the right amount of each ingredient once only to make an ‘Eatzy’. Next time you eat it: check it in with just one easy click, instead of adding all the ingredients one by one!
Create online, check in on mobile
Although Eatzies are created online, they will automatically pop up in your search results if you use the mobile app for check-ins. And because they are in fact nothing more than a ‘food-combo’ we will still keep track of all the individual ingredients that went into the dish in your food stats.
Share your recipes on Facebook & Twitter
Foodzy’s new feature also enables you to share your favorite recipes on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. Are your friends on Foodzy too? Exchange your Eatzies with other users and add theirs to your own bookcase. This way, if you’re eating at a friend’s place, checking in their homemade dish just got real simple too.
So go on, start adding
your favorite pasta dishes, homemade sandwiches, breakfast food combos and start checking in the easy way!
